Material
The silk twill fabric used is made from raw silk in both the warp and weft yarns.
While yarns are usually twisted tightly to prevent breakage, the yarns used in this fabric are only lightly twisted (plied) to preserve the silk’s natural sheen and characteristics.
The fabric is carefully woven at a slow speed on a shuttle loom.
Due to the intricate multicolor pattern, the fabric is highly labor-intensive and crafted with skilled artisan's techniques.
