Magic Eye: 3D Trip Vision

The first release of Adobe Photoshop appeared in 1987. In the late 1980's and early 1990's, painters and illustrators like Tadanori Yokoo began implementing digital image manipulation tools in their practices to create new types of illusory images. Magic Eye: 3D Trip Vision released around this time, full of patterns which, when viewed at specific angles, create optical illusions of shapes floating in 3D space. As digital image manipulation has become commonplace, we looked back towards this era of digital design to inspire our graphic tee shirts.
