vowels is a made-in-Japan designer brand providing premium denim and elevated essentials for daily life. Founded by Ritvik Kulshrestha and led by a design team based in Tokyo, the guiding spirit for vowels follows the Japanese philosophy of Shu Ha Ri (守破離), wherein one must master the fundamentals of a creative practice before breaking those rules and re-conceiving the form.
The vowels Research Library, located in New York City at 76 Bowery, is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 11AM to 6PM. Appointments can be made here.
