How can we visualize the invisible? Artist Paul Sharits, primarily known for their avant garde film work, was fascinated and transfixed with music, scoring his films with pictorial or graphic sheet music. By abstracting or otherwise subverting traditional musical notation, the scores became artworks unto themselves.
