Katsuya Kamo, a leading Japanese hair designer, was responsible for many of the outlandish, sculptural headpieces that adorned models in the iconic 90's collections of Junya Watanabe, Jun Takahashi, and others. When working with Watanabe, Kamo wasn't allowed to see a single look before the show, meaning that the headpieces were conceived entirely from his own imagination, with no reference to the garments.
