10 oz Japanese cotton canvas
Fitted waist with relaxed silhouette towards hem
Print is applied using a semi-auto technique that takes more time than hand dyeing.
The color is thoroughly absorbed by using a two-pass dyeing process and expressing the pattern edges with pointillism to achieve a gradation effect. This pattern expression is derived from traditional Japanese dyeing techniques from Kyoto’s Kyo-Yuzen.
